Felger and Massarotti continued the day talking about the Boston Bruins and Tim Thomas’ decision to sit out the 2012-2013 season.

In a statement on Thomas’ Facebook page, Thomas said “…At the age of 38, I believe it is time to put my time and energies into those areas and relationships that I have neglected. That is why at this time I feel the most important thing I can do in my life is to reconnect with the three F’s. Friends, Family, and Faith…”

Is Thomas sitting out for personal reasons or because of mistreatment by the Bruins?

If Thomas does sit out for the season, what will it mean from the Bruins?

“It hurts their ability to trade him for an asset, hurts the team’s ability to manage their salary cap, hurts their negotiating power against Tuukka Rask, kills them three different ways,” Felger said

Why has Thomas made this decision now? How much of this has to do with Thomas’ current contract?
