Cyclist Killed On Huntington Avenue ID'd As BC Grad Student

CHESTNUT HILL (CBS) - Authorities have identified the cyclist killed Friday night in Boston as a Boston College graduate student.

Kelsey Rennebohm, 28, was a grad student in the Lynch School of Education. Prior to attending BC, she was a teacher for two years in New York City.

"Rennebohm was a gifted student and an experienced teacher who worked to provide high-quality instruction and support services for all children," said the school, in a statement.

Rennebohm was killed while riding on Huntington Avenue on Friday. Police determined that she was hit by an MBTA bus.

No charges have been filed.

At least two other cyclists have been hit and killed along Huntington Avenue in the past five years. One, Eric Michael Hunt, was struck and killed by an MBTA bus. The other, Gordon Riker, was struck and killed at Huntington Ave & Forsyth Street, the same intersection where Rennebohm was hit on Friday.
