Six New Catholic Priests Ordained In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — The Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield is ordaining six men into the priesthood in its largest ordination class in 29 years.
Bishop Timothy McDonnell will lead the ceremony Saturday at St. Michael's Cathedral in Springfield
The six men include two converts from another faith, a former dairy farmer and a native of Poland.
Several miles east, Bishop Robert McManus of the Diocese of Worcester will ordain four men into the priesthood at St. Paul's Cathedral.
The four men include natives of Ghana and Columbia, and two men from Worcester County.
