CHELSEA (CBS) – Eight people were taken to area hospitals after a crash involving a box truck and a bus.

The accident happened at Eastern and Central Avenues in Chelsea Thursday afternoon.

Four of the victims were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital; four were taken to Whidden Hospital in Everett.

The extent of injuries was not immediately known.

The Hazardous Materials crew was called to scene for fuel spill related to the crash.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
