BOSTON (CBS) – He’s a trend-setting chef, a cookbook author, a TV host, but first and foremost, he’s a restauranteur.
Ming Tsai is one of the most highly recognized and respected chefs in the country. Yet, on most nights, you can still find him in the kitchen at his one and only restaurant, Blue Ginger in Wellesley, where Asian ingredients and French techniques are infused in every recipe.
In Blue Ginger’s feng-shui inspired dining room, popular choices include the wok-stirred garlic-black pepper lobster, Szechwan-style chicken, and the signature miso-sake butterfish with soba noodle sushi.
Over in the more casual lounge side of the restaurant, Asian tapas is the focus with gourmet chicken lettuce cups, short-rib grilled cheese with Thai tomato soup and crispy squash wontons, along with Ramen Noodle soups, and house-made dumplings known as “Ming’s Bing’s.”
It’s all prepared in an open kitchen staffed with one one of the most talented kitchen crews in New England.
