Caught On Video: Mother, Child Confronted By Man With Knife
SPRINGFIELD (CBS) - A terrifying attack against a woman and her young daughter was recorded on surveillance video in Springfield.
The video shows a man walk up to the mother outside a store last Friday evening.
When he flashed a knife and demanded her purse, she ran and left her four-year-old behind.
The man chased the woman back towards the store and slashed her in the neck.
Police are still looking for him.
The woman told officers she ran, thinking the man would follow her and leave her daughter alone.
The unidentified woman is expected to recover.
