BOSTON (CBS) – While the Boston Celtics have yet to determine Ray Allen’s status for Friday night’s Game 3, it appears the Atlanta Hawks will be without on of their key contributors.
Forward Josh Smith is out for the Hawks Friday night, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Atlanta forward injured his knee in Game 2, missing the final 4:20 of the 87-80 Celtics win. Wojnarowski reports that he will try to play in Sunday’s Game 4 at the Garden.
The Hawks will certianly feel the loss of Smith, their leading scorer in the postseason. Smith averaged 19 points and 15 rebounds over the first two games.
