BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox fans can add another Red Sox-Yankees game to their post-Fourth of July weekend festivities.
The Red Sox announced Tuesday their Sunday, April 22 rain out against the New York will be made up as the opener of a split day-night doubleheader on Saturday, July 7 at 12:35 p.m.
The second game of the doubleheader will be played at 7:15 p.m. as originally scheduled.

The Yankees are in town that weekend for their second visit to Fenway, a three-game set just before the MLB All-Star break.
Fans holding tickets to the April 22 rain out (Game #9 on their ticket) may use those tickets for the 12:35 p.m. game on July 7.

The Fenway gates will open 90-minutes prior to first pitch, and all fans entering at that time must have tickets to that day’s game and will not be permitted to exit and re-enter the ballpark.
