Some folks have a problem with marriages involving a wife that is much younger. They feel it is creepy for an old man to marry a young woman. Some say a man should never marry a woman younger than his daughter. Others have a formula that says the youngest a wife can be is one half his age plus seven years.

I disagree. If a man is hot enough or cool enough or rich enough to snare a young bride, then good for him. So what if she marries for money or social status. So what if the man marries the younger woman as a trophy. This is a free market society and that should include the social market too.

If the union provides symbiosis and both parties have gone to the union with eyes wide open, then go for it. And they should have our blessing.

I just wish I had been invited to the wedding.
