BOSTON (CBS) – More and more restaurants are combining Asian ingredients with American dishes. Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet gets a taste of fusion cuisine.
East meets west at Blue Ginger in Wellesley where Chef Ming Tsai blends Asian flavors with classic French techniques. Some of his signature dishes include garlic, black pepper lobster, sake-miso marinated sablefish, and Indonesian curry pasta.
With locations in Chelmsford, Cohasset, Natick and Tyngsboro, Feng Shui offers everything from a Chinese buffet to Japanese hibachi, along with fusion dishes like beef bruschetta, roast scallops, and the mia lotus lamb rack.
“Foumami” in the Financial District specializes in Asian-inspired sandwiches served on fresh shaobing.
