BOSTON (CBS) – The campaign committee for the clerk magistrate of the Suffolk County Criminal Court has been fined $2,000, following an I-Team report.

A state investigation into Maura Hennigan’s campaign finances found she used court clerks, during their work day, to help with a fundraiser.

Hennigan released a statement to the I-Team saying:

“I have an impeccable record of more than 30 years. I was not present nor did I instruct my employees to engage in this activity. I regret that his occurred and will be providing training to all members of my staff on campaign finance laws.”
