Vigil Planned For Missing Boston College Student
BOSTON (AP) — A Catholic church in Waltham plans to hold a service that includes prayer for the safe return of missing Boston College student Franco Garcia.
Officials at the Saint Jude Parish on Main Street say the service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The 21-year-old college junior was last seen by friends in the early-morning hours of Feb. 22 at a popular bar near Boston College’s campus.
Police investigating the disappearance searched the neighborhood several times, including in the Chestnut Hill Reservoir.
Newton Police Lt. Bruce Apotheker said Friday that authorities don’t have any new information to release, but that the case remains under investigation.
