Hundreds Of National Guard Troops Return Home

MIDDLEBORO (CBS) - On Wednesday morning hundreds of local families welcomed their loved ones home from Afghanistan. Convoys of National Guard troops returned to cheers in Melrose and Middleboro.

The men and women from the 182nd Infantry regiment had been in Afghanistan for a year.

The troops provided security to each of the 12 Provincial Reconstruction Teams throughout Afghanistan.
