Thousands Pack South Boston For St. Patrick’s Day Parade

BOSTON (CBS) – The sound bagpipes filled the air in South Boston on Sunday for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Doug Cope reports.

Record crowds showed up because of the warm weather.

The sidewalks and streets were filled with revelers in green soaking in the city’s Irish heritage and just having a good time.

One person was hurt when he fell from a roof on G Street, near the parade route.
