BOSTON (CBS) – Catherine Greig, the girlfriend of Whitey Bulger, may plead guilty in court as early as next week.
Steve Davis, the brother of Debra Davis who was allegedly killed by Bulger, claims he was told by federal prosecutors that Greig will plead guilty next week when she makes her next court appearance.

“With her in the picture we’re losing focus on Whitey,” says Davis. “That’s the fish we want to fry.”
“If it’s a guilty plea how much more can we ask for,” he says.
The possible plea was also confirmed by Patricia Donahue, the wife of Michael Donahue, another of Bulger’s alleged victims. He was gunned down giving a ride to a friend who was apparently Bulger’s intended target.
Families are supposed to meet with federal prosecutors on Monday to discuss the possible plea and any objections they may have.
Davis does not know what kind of deal may have been struck but he received the call Friday afternoon.
Bulger’s longtime girlfriend is accused of harboring a fugitive, hiding Bulger for the 16 years she spent living with the accused killer during their life on the run. That ended last June in California when the couple was finally caught by authorities in Santa Monica.
Greig is being held without bail, despite attempts by her attorneys to have her released. There is no comment so far from the U.S. attorney’s office, or her attorney Kevin Reddington.
She’s expected to plead guilty at a hearing March 14.
