PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island’s second winning Powerball ticket of the year was sold at a convenience store in the town of Smithfield.
State lottery officials said Thursday that the ticket for the $60 million jackpot was purchased at Quickets on George Washington Highway.
No one has come forward to claim the prize.
WBZ-TV’s Bill Shields reports
The winning numbers were 12-35-45-46-47 and Powerball 12.
A store employee says, “We’re just surprised.”
It’s a lucky time in the Ocean State: Earlier this week, 81-year-old Louise White of Newport came forward to claim the Feb. 11 jackpot of $336.4 million, which was the sixth-largest U.S. prize.
She said she bought the winning ticket at a Stop & Shop supermarket in Newport while stopping there to buy some rainbow sherbet.
