The Holy Trinity Church, the rectory behind it, and the across the street have been sold for $500,000.
The local real estate investor who purchased the property reportedly has plans to turn some of it into condominiums.
Deanne says the city could use more housing.
"The city is in desperate need of housing, especially if it incorporates something for the elderly, it would be wonderful," said Deanne.
But, Bill believes it would be a sin to turn the church into condos.
"If they change the church itself into condominiums or office space, then it would kind of besmirch the purpose of why it was erected," said Bill.
Six friars who are currently living in the rectory have been told to move out by the end of the month.
