The Bruins made some noise before the NHL trade deadline on Monday acquiring Brian Rolston and Mike Mottau from the Islanders for prospects and trading Steven Kampfer for Greg Zanon.

Newly acquired Bruins Brian Rolston joined Bob Beers, Dave Goucher and D.A. on the Hockey Show Wednesday night to talk about returning to the Bruins.

“Feels great, a lot of emotions all day long leading up to that game and it’s good to get that one behind you, but it was a lot of fun.”

What have the coaches told him that hope or expect from him as the season goes along? Where does he see himself in this Bruins lineup?

“I think with the injuries we have now we need depth and I haven’t played center in quite a few years probably since I’ve been here, but they put me at center and they need me to play there.”

Rolston played for Boston between 2000 and 2004, but some things might not have changed since he’s been here. What hasn’t changed since he’s been here and what are some of the things he’s noticed have changed?
