WESTON (CBS) – A bad crash in Weston has shut down Route 30 in both directions.

A tanker truck rolled over after colliding with a small SUV. The tanker was carrying 1,500 gallons of home heating oil at the time.

One person was injured and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

About 20 gallons of oil spilled out and is being temporarily contained. The road will remain closed until the Department of Environmental Protection arrives.

just looking at the limited video of the crash and the damage.the little honda crv pulled out in front of tanker cause with the right rear fender was ripped off when the right rear wheel looks went over the left fender and hood of the crv.hopefully the truck driver had time to hit floor before it rolled.peterbult cabs are tini inside and are only aluminium ,not much forgiveness in a roll.also hopefully the tank was empty to.ALWAYS GIVE THE TRUCK THE RIGHT OF WAY.

didn’t read the story before last blog.good thing that tank was relatively new,new double walled tank to prevent bursting in situations like this.the fuel spilt probably came from the trucks tank or radiator coolant.
