Bruins Recall Bodnarchuk, Sauve From Providence

BOSTON (CBS) -  The Boston Bruins are looking to acquire a defenseman and forward before Monday's NHL trade deadline, but recalled one of each from Providence just in case nothing goes through.

General Mangager Peter Chiarelli announced on Monday that the club has recalled defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk and forward Max Sauve from Providence. Both are expected to join the team for their 10:30 am practice on Monday at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington.

The Bruins could be in need of an extra defenseman anyways, after both Johnny Boychuk and Joe Corvo took big hits in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Senators in Ottawa.

This is Bodnarchuk's second recall to Boston this season. He was with the team for their recent road trip, but did not see any game action.

This marks Sauve's first NHL career recall. In Providence this season, Sauve has six goals and seven assists in 26 games.
