Report: Rasheed Wallace To Sign With Lakers

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Lakers are reportedly poised to add a big man, and it might be the least likely candidate.

Rasheed Wallace "plans to sign" with the Lakers, according to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.

Coincidentally, Wallace's last NBA game was in Los Angeles, when he was a member of the Celtics for their Game 7 loss in the 2010 NBA Finals. Wallace retired after that season, leaving two years and $13 million in salary on the table.

The report does not indicate how much money Wallace will make with Los Angeles.

Wallace, 37, averaged nine points and 4.1 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game in the 2009-10 season with the Celtics. Those numbers dropped to six points, three rebounds and 17.1 minutes in the playoffs.
