Storck Delivers Local Hospital's 9000th Baby

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - When little Emma Chen was born at Mount Auburn Hospital, the headline almost wrote itself: "Stork Delivers Hospital's 9,000th Baby."

Claire Storck, whose name is spelled with a "c-k," is the midwife who helped deliver Chen this past weekend.

"I just got lucky with a good last name. It worked out well," Storck said of her name. "Kind of goes very well with my job."

The birth marked number 9,000 at Mount Auburn.

"After we had the baby, I let them know this was actually a big milestone for our practice and obviously a big milestone for them."

Chen, whose mom and dad live in Quincy, was presented with a special outfit as her proud parents looked on.

For Storck, she says she's closing in on her 100th baby delivery.
