RANDOLPH (CBS) – Police are releasing few details in the shooting death of a teenager in Randolph.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Mark Katic reports

16-year-old Kyle Louzada, a sophomore at Randolph High School, was found in the yard of his neighbor’s home on Oak Street just after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate he died from a single gunshot wound to the head. A firearm was located Friday afternoon near where the shooting took place.

Investigators would not rule out the possibility that the shooting was accidental.

“The initial story is that he was playing with a friend’s gun and it went off,” Louzada’s cousin told reporters Friday.

The 911 call to report the shooting came from Louzada’s house.

Several people who were inside at the time of the shooting were questioned by police.

There have been no arrests.

It’s still not clear how Louzada ended up outside.

Sources told WBZ-TV that police have visited Louzada’s home several times in the past.

When conscience and the sense of right and wrong go out the window, it doesn’t. Sad isn’t it?

As long as the NRA is backed by rightwing Republicans, it’ll never stop. Get rid of Republicans in both Houses and common sense will prevail.

And the award for dumbest comment goes to……..

Randolph MA, a city in Massachusetts, probably the most liberal democratic state in the country. Been on Democratic hands forever.

I don’t see Deval Patrick (D) nor the house take steps to make the gun laws for MA any stricter.

But hey, blame the GOP and the NRA for this shooting, I am surprised you are not blaming Bush too.

Btw. “Montana” – would that be after the state of Montana ? Some of the least restrictive states in the country to own a gun in – Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D)

I don’t fear the politicians in DC and their incompetence as much as I do the fact that you are out there voting

      2. Formerly from Massachusetts says:

Huh? This wouldn’t have happened if only democrats were in power? What planet do you live on?

For the record – Massachusetts firearms laws require trigger locks on all stored firearms.

  3. vlizzle says:

If you own guns keep them some place where your children cannot get a hold of them.
