Boston Takes Advantage Of Warm Weather, Fills Potholes

BOSTON (CBS) – The weather is so warm in Boston, that the city is already fixing potholes.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Karen Twomey reports

The city’s pothole fixing machine nicknamed “Potzilla” hit the road Thursday, patching some spots.

Potholes are not as big of a problem this year due to the lack of the usual freezing and thawing that comes with a typical New England winter.

City Public Works Commissioner Joanne Massaro says they usually finish patching in March. Since December, Massaro says they have patched 2,500 potholes.
