NH 6-Year-Old Helping To Give Blankets To Homeless People

NASHUA, N.H. (CBS) - On a recent trip to New York City, 6-year-old Kieran Hummer from Nashua, New Hampshire was bothered to see homeless people on the street and cold.

So, Kieran wanted to get them blankets.

At home, his mom told him there were homeless people in Nashua as well. So, he wanted to buy them blankets as well.

Kieran's mom then called her son's school, Bicentennial Elementary, and the principal there loved the idea.

Now, they have started a project called "Kieran's Kovers," and they have 40 blankets so far.

The project started with a little boy's concern, and it has turned into something that will help those who need it.
