BURLINGTON (CBS) – Police questioned a man found armed with a BB gun in the parking lot of the Burlington Mall on Tuesday.

A 911 caller first alerted police that the man was possibly armed with a shotgun, causing a brief scare outside the mall after noon.

Police later confirmed the man was carrying a BB gun.

Burlington Police says the man came to the mall to borrow the gun from a friend. He went to police after he saw law enforcement show up.

There will be no charges filed because the men are of legal age to have a BB gun. Police did however say that the mall was not the best place to make the exchange.
