Boston Police Superintendent Rafael Ruiz Retires

He came to the United States in 1971 at the age of 15, specifically to the Boston area, as a young kid from the Dominican Republic. Eight years later, after getting a bachelor and a master's degree in criminal justice, he joins the Boston police force and would spend more than three decades serving and protecting the people of Boston. Now after 32 years of service, with his last years as Boston Police Superintendent, the highest ranking Latino in the force is saying goodbye to his law enforcement family.
