Hyannis Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

BOSTON (CBS) – A 23-year-old Hyannis man has been arrested on child pornography charges. Kevin McNicol was arrested after an extensive investigation by the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and state and local police.

During the investigation, a laptop belonging to McNicol was seized.

According to police, several videos and images of young girls posing nude and engaged in sex acts were found on the computer. The videos appeared to have been created during web-cam chats with McNicol.

Police were able to identify and interview an alleged victim. She told investigators that two months after McNicol's computer had been seized; he contacted her online and continued to entice her to take more pictures to send to him.

McNicol was arrested Monday February 6 in North Weymouth. He was arraigned on charges of posing a child nude and engaged in sexual activity, possession of child pornography, disseminating obscene matter to minors, and videotaping a nude person without their knowledge.

The Barnstable District Court placed a $5,000 bail on McNicol, with several restrictions if bail is made.
