Valets Hold The Key In Proposed Plan To Stop Drunk Driving

BOSTON (CBS) - City Councilor Rob Consalvo of Hyde Park is proposing a plan that would require parking valet companies to keep a customer's key if he or she has had too much to drink.

The new effort is designed to stop drunk driving incidents and accidents in the Boston area.

Some valet companies are worried that the new proposal could make attendants legally responsible if they unknowingly let someone who is drunk get behind the wheel and drive.
