INDIANAPOLIS (CBS) – So the game is over and after a night of thinking, there’s more perspective.
Wes Welker took the loss real hard.
The ball thrown to him that was a miss with 4 minutes to go is going to be talked about for awhile.
That would have been a tough grab, but Wes is a top wide receiver.
He has to make that catch. He had both hands on the ball and I have seen him make that play before.
Add to that, minutes later, Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham makes that sideline catch and that play was much tougher.
The Pats will look at the play from here on out.
Wes and Tom connect on that and we could be talking parade Tuesday.
Wes took the heat, Tom tried to take some heat off of him but that play was the inch the Pats needed in a tight game.
HALFTIME SHOW
I didn’t really pay much attention to the halftime show.
I like Madonna and enjoyed listening to it while I was working but I did not catch all the controversy.
M.I.A. made an obscene gesture with her middle finger.
All these acts always use the big stage to get their 15 minutes and that is the situation again.
Just throw a band up there like U2 or the Rolling Stones and hope for the best.
