Franklin Park Gorillas Do Their Duty, Pick Pats In Super Bowl

BOSTON (CBS) – The Franklin Park Zoo’s Lowland Gorillas have made their picks for the Super Bowl.

Aside from a little ‘monkey business’ going on during the picks (see the end of the video), there were no surprises.

The zoo’s 7-year-old female named Kimani, who was born at the Franklin Park Zoo, picked the hometown Patriots.

Interestingly, the zoo’s most famous gorilla, the giant known as Little Joe, did not get involved in the bet.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Ben Parker reports

He was born in New York City but raised in Boston, so he probably had mixed loyalties.

Joe stepped aside to let the ‘Lady’ pick, so as not to get her mad & compromise his “Sunday Night” halftime MATINEE!
