The NFL mic’ed up certain players on the Patriots and Ravens for the big AFC Championship game last Sunday. Lucky for us they mic’ed up our boy Rob Gronkowski.

The guys started things off with a little compilation of Gronk pumped up during the game yelling from the sidelines and celebrating blocks. At one point during game the tight end needed a little boost of energy and can be heard enjoying an energy bar.

One play that had Pats fans holding their breath was when Gronk’s left ankle buckled while being tackled by Bernard Pollard in the third quarter. Thankfully the tight end returned later in the game and was very excited to be back.

The best sound though came when the Ravens missed the 32-yard field goal and the Pats clinched a trip to Super Bowl XLVI. Listen as he notices that he’s on the big screen at Gillette.

Iggy Pop had a rule about songs: no more than 24 words, if I remember that correctly.

Meaning, it’s all about the execution, not the extent of your repetoire, which is probably BS anyway. (We pretend we can do stuff, because of our ego.)

This guy does 10 things extremely well, better than anyone else in the world, and that’s what matters.
