YARMOUTH (CBS) – An elderly driver crashed her car into a moving train on the Cape Tuesday morning.

Fortunately for her, the train was moving only one mile an hour.

The 76-year-old woman was apparently blinded by the sun in her eyes as she approached the tracks on West Yarmouth Road around 11:30 a.m.

Her Subaru slammed into the third car of a slow-moving freight train.

She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The front end of her car was heavily damaged.

Every morning my life is put in danger by drivers who refuse to wear sunglasses despite the fact that they drive the same sun glared route every morning. This is so avoidable!

Also they have so much crap shoved in their sunvisors that they can’t (or won’t ) use those either!
