Wednesday's Child: Makayla and Arianna

BOSTON (CBS) - Makayla, 12, is the older of the two girls. Quiet at first, she is described as very sweet and kind. She likes to listen to music and is a talented dancer. She is taking classes through her church and would love to take more in the future. Makayla is doing well in school, although she struggles a bit in math. She is already planning for college, although not sure exactly what she wants to do. Makayla currently lives with her younger sister Arianna.

Arianna, 10, is quiet and timid until she warms up to someone. Like her sister Makayla, she enjoys listening to music and dancing, and is also taking lessons through their church. She also enjoys singing and is doing well in school. Arianna plans to attend college but is not sure what she wants to do.

WBZ-TV's Jack Williams reports

Legally free for adoption, these energetic sisters would do well in a single or two-parent home with or without other children. Their social worker is seeking parents committed to ensuring that the girls keep in regular contact with their older brothers.

To learn more about Makayla and Arianna, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
