FOXBORO (CBS) – If the Patriots beat the Ravens at the AFC Championship on Sunday, wide receiver Deion Branch would have a chance at his third ring.

The key word in the opening sentence? If.

The Pats aren’t guaranteed entry in the Super Bowl just yet, but that didn’t stop Branch from Tweeting about the the big game just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Who is going to Super Bowl this year? Anyone know about any good parties or events going on in Indy this year?” Branch tweeted.

It does seem a bit premature for Branch to be Tweeting about the Super Bowl, but in fairness, it appears he was trying to start a conversation with his followers.

Nevertheless, Branch deleted the tweet several minutes later.
