Heroes Welcomed Home At Hanscom Air Base
HANSCOM (CBS) - Thursday was a very special day for 54 families.
Hanscom Air Base celebrated the return of their airmen and women who have recently come back from overseas.
Many have been serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some have been gone for six months, others a full year.
Because of their sacrifice, some have missed out on their babies' births, first steps, first hit in baseball or first dance recital.

And of course, it isn't just the men and women in uniform that sacrifice, so do their families.
Tonight we get to say welcome home, job well done, and thank you!
WBZ-TV's Jonathan Elias served as master of ceremonies for the event.
