LYNN (CBS) – A woman getting off an MBTA bus was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday evening.

Police say an SUV ran into 68-year-old Luyiza Polak as she was crossing Lynnfield Street in the area of Union Hospital at about 5 p.m.

She was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are looking for the driver, who they say took off after the accident.

They described the SUV as dark-colored and smaller in size. One witness compared it to a Honda CR-V.
