BELMONT (CBS) – After nearly eight decades in Belmont, Brigham’s Ice Cream has closed up shop.

The co-owners of the shop on Trapelo Road say business is down and they can’t afford to renew their lease.

It was the franchise’s oldest remaining location.

The co-owners want their customers to know that the Brigham’s on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Heights will remain open.
