Wednesday's Child: 13-Year-Old Megan

BOSTON (CBS) - Megan is a dynamic and energetic 13-year-old Caucasian girl.

She is friendly, sociable, and enjoys participating in several after-school activities. She takes pride in being part of the yearbook and newspaper clubs as well as the school choir. Although she can be shy about performing solo in front of an audience, she enjoys singing and dancing as part of a group.

Additionally, Megan is quite adept at arts and crafts. She likes making jewelry and has even created a wallet of her own design.

WBZ-TV's Jack Williams reports

Megan would do best with a family that can help her channel her energy into her interests and support her passions. She has suffered many disappointments and deserves a family who will give her their attention and love her through her moments of stubbornness and the ups and downs of her teenage years. Megan has proven to be resilient and will continue to blossom under the guidance of two parents or a single female parent.

Megan is legally free for adoption and will need to maintain contact with her older sister.

To learn more about Megan, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
