BOSTON (CBS) – Patriots defensive back Sterling Moore has been named the NFL’s Rookie of the Week after his performance in New England’s 49-21 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Moore had two interceptions in the game, the first two of his career, one of which he returned for the team’s final touchdown. Moore also had a pair of defended passes and a tackle in the Pats regular season finale.
Moore is the first undrafted rookie to win the award this season.

After spending time on the team’s practice squad, Moore has played six games for the Patriots, registering seven tackles and the two interceptions.
Earlier this season, Moore tweeted from a Massachusetts Best Buy, where he was twice mistaken as a store employee. Maybe his Rookie of the Week honors will help him get some more recognition.
