Firefighters doused the plane with foam after the crash.
MANSFIELD (CBS) – A small plane crashed at Mansfield Airport Friday.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane veered off the left side of the runway and flipped over on takeoff around noon-time.
FAA spokesman Jim Peters said the pilot was the only person on board and was not hurt.
The light sports aircraft, a Jabiru Calypso, is a home built plane.
It is registered to Paul LaFratta of North Attleboro.
