Box Truck, MBTA Bus Collide In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) – A box truck and a Silver Line bus collided in Boston Thursday afternoon.

The Penske truck hit the Silver Line bus while crossing D Street at around 12:15 p.m.

There were four people on the bus including the operator, but none of them were injured.

The truck’s operator, 21-year old Phillip J. Wideman of Saugus, was cited by police for failing to stop at a red signal.

Watch:

The bus sustained significant damage to the front end, including the passenger door, windshield and side mirror.

    You can NOT be legally cited for failure to stop at a red light in MA, there is no such statute, other than a FLASHING red signal. Look it up. MGLCh.89 s.9.
