BOSTON (CBS) - Former Red Sox reliever Hideki Okajima will sign a minor league deal with the Yankees, according to a report from David Waldstein of the New York Times.

Okajima had spent his entire major league career with the Red Sox, posting a 3.11 ERA from 2007-2011. He won one World Series with the team (2007).

The 36-year-old pitched in only seven games for the major league club in 2011, spending most of his time with Triple-A Pawtucket. There, he finished with a 2.29 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over 51.0 innings.
