Attorney: Woman Charged In Robbery Spree Has $100-A-Day Heroin Habit

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – A Framingham woman previously charged in a robbery at Symphony Hall earlier this month has been arrested again for a string of robberies at knife-point over Christmas weekend.

Police said 27-year-old Chelsea Ingalls first hit a CVS in Framingham at around 7 p.m. Christmas night. Then just a few minutes later, a gas station in Wellesley reported a similar armed robbery.

Then on Monday, police said she tried to hold up the Sunoco in Newton, but the clerk fought back, and also made note of Ingalls’ license plate number.

WBZ-TV’s Sera Congi reports.

Ingalls was arraigned on Tuesday for just one of the robberies, the hold-up in Framingham. She was ordered held on $5,000 bail.

Earlier this month, Ingalls was arrested for stealing two purses during a holiday Boston Pops concert at Symphony Hall.

Prosecutors said Ingalls has four convictions on her record and has served time twice.

The defense attorney said Ingalls has a drug problem and spends $100 a day supporting her habit.

She’ll have plenty of time to kick the habit while she’s serving her sentence in Framingham. Too bad one of the people she tried to rob didn’t pop her in the face like the guy in NC. Obviuously rehab isn’t working – she will probably over dose some day – too bad for her family and friends but no loss for society.

Mommy and daddy must be proud. As hard as they tried, this is the best they could come up with. Thank you. Time to occupy a jail cell.

It’s times like this that I’m glad I never had any children. Have a Happy New Year in jail girl. Where you belong.

The people above are disgusting human beings. This woman is no trooper, but stone casting above is shameful and worse. Have you no sin?

as for her she’ll likely be thrown in jail and where she’ll learn to cook her own and network for future “better” endeavors on the taxpayer dime. Heaven forbid we spend less money and treat these diseases and addictions in forced detox programs, where they won;t meddle with common thugs and murderers.
