Peverley Out Against Panthers
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins will be without forward Rich Peverley Friday when they take on the Florida Panthers, head coach Claude Julien announced after the team's morning skate.
Peverley played in Boston's 3-2 win over the Canadiens on Monday, but did not practice all week with an undisclosed injury.
"We made the decision to go forward with the fact that he's going to get basically a whole week before the next game and only miss one game," Julien said Friday morning.
"That was the whole plan. Our schedule gets heavy after that, so this was a good time to take that approach." said the B's coach.

The Bruins do not play again until Wednesday when they play the Coyotes in Phoenix. By missing Friday's game, Peverley will have up to eight days off to recover.
Peverley, who will likely be replaced by Zach Hamill, has six goals and 19 assists in 30 games for the Bruins this season.
