"We wanted to do something new, something original, something classy and a lot of fun. Somebody just came up with the idea, and we're a Catholic school... our color's red, so why don't we do a red-out and call ourselves 'The Red Sea,'" said Bradley.

Two years later, the legend has made its way to YouTube, where it has become a viral video sensation with more than 1,000,000 hits.

"I never thought that it would actually go this far, and why would it? We're just a small high school in Lawrence, Massachusetts doing a biblical act before a basketball game. But, somebody picked it up and loved it, and it's all over the country," said Bradley.

With Bradley gone, will the tradition continue at the school?

"I have retired as Moses, but I am happy to pass on the torch or the staff... to whomever wants to take the reigns," said Bradley.
