Police Search For Hit & Run Driver After I- 495 Crash In Mansfield
MANSFIELD (CBS) - Police are searching for a hit and run driver who seriously injured a person working on a tractor trailer truck in the breakdown lane of I-495.
Police say a truck driver had called his colleague to help with a flat tire.
Both were working on the tire in the breakdown lane on I-495 in Mansfield around 1:30 p.m. when a passing car struck the man who had shown up to help.
Witnesses say the car involved in the crash was possibly a light-colored blue Ford Escape.
The car suffered front end damage from the crash.
The victim, a 21-year-old man from Dudley, Massachusetts was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. He is expected to survive.
