TRURO (CBS) – The Truro police chief who was arrested for drunk driving by his own officers has struck a plea deal.

The charges against John Lundborn will be dropped if he completes an alcohol education course and stays out of trouble for a year.

He has also lost his license for 45 days.

Lundborn was arrested last month after crashing his cruiser into a tree. He has resigned.
