Salem, Mass. Woman Charged With Setting 2 Fires In NH

DERRY, N.H. (AP) — Police in Derry, N.H., say a Massachusetts woman has been charged with setting two fires at an apartment building she used to live in.

Police said 56-year-old Cheryl Wheaton of Salem, Mass., turned herself in to police on Monday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Wheaton recently moved to Massachusetts, but police said she had been living at an apartment building on Pembroke Drive in Derry for several years. She is accused of setting two fires in the building, one in July, the second in October.

Police said the July fire caused damage in a vacant apartment unit. The October fire caused damage to the building's laundry and boiler rooms.
