BOSTON (CBS) – Shopping, cooking, decorating.

The holiday season typically arrives with a lot of cheer and a very long to-do list. But there is help to keep everything organized, you just have to pick the right apps!

First on the list: Ziplist. This handy shopping app can make your next trip to the grocery store a snap.

WBZ-TV’s Paula Ebben reports

Ziplist keeps a digital grocery list for you, sorts everything by aisle, and it even allows you to search recipes on the spot. Ziplist also has a fun sharing feature, so if someone else in the house wants to remind you that you’re running low on milk they can simply add it to the shopping list on your smartphone.

From bagging food to bagging the best buys another recommended app is ShopNTella, a social media shopping app. ShopNTella rounds up product reviews from industry experts, the ShopNTella community, and sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Or try the Gift Plan app. This app helps you keep track of everything you need to buy. You can jot down notes on gift ideas, personal tastes, and clothing sizes.

But possibly the biggest time saver? After a long day of shopping check out the CarFinder app. It will help you track down your car in that very crowded parking lot.
